, ex-Flamengo goalkeeper returns to football after spending 6 years in prison for killing of Eliza Samudio.

Fernandes was part of Flamengo’s title-winning squad back in 2009 Football fans on Saturday, October 5.

In 2013, Fernandes was sentenced to 22 years in prison after being found guilty for the murder of his ex-girlfriend who was seeking paternity payments after giving birth to a son who she said was the goalkeeper’s.
