Buhari, Dogara, Saraki Present At Dangote’s Daughter Wedding

Fatiha of Alhaji Aliko ’s daughter, Hajiya Fatima, and her groom, Jamilu Abubakar, held on Friday in Kano State and President Muhammadu and other top dignitaries were present.

The wedding Fatiha took place at 12 noon between Fatima and Jamilu, son of a former Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar, at the Emir of Kano’s palace.

According to a report by the News Agency of Nigeria, the wedding was conducted by the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi II, and supported by the Chief Imam of Kano , Prof. Sani Zaharaddeen .

Buhari, who stood as the bride’s father, received N500, 000 as dowry from the representative of the groom at the occasion.

Other prominent persons that attended the occasion included a former Head of State , Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar (retd.); Speaker, House of Representatives, Mr. Yakubu , and some serving senators.

Some governors and ministers as well as traditional rulers from across the country also attended the occasion.

Others included a former National Security Adviser, Gen. Aliyu Gusau ( retd.), members of the business community, politicians and diplomats.

The turnout for the event was big as the guests included workers from various companies owned by Dangote.

Security at the occasion was tight as all the entrances leading to the palace were heavily guarded by armed security operatives.

The development prevented many journalists from covering the events.
