Cameron, who directed unforgettable movies like Titanic and Avatar, has been a strong advocate on the issue of climate change for many years. His wife, Suzy Amis Cameron, also shares his views on the subject.
The filmmaker was very blunt on the topic, saying: “People need to wake the fu*k up!”
He stated that he believes that renewable energy is the future and that everyone needed to change the way that they lived.
James Francis Cameron (born August 16, 1954) is a Canadian filmmaker and environmentalist who shuttles between New Zealand and the United States.
After working on special effects, he found major success writing and directing the science fiction action film, The Terminator (1984). He then became a popular Hollywood director, achieving further critical acclaim for Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991).
His biggest movie at the time, Titanic, earned him Academy Awards for Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Film Editing.
