For all upcoming acts out there one of the major reasons you’re still stuck in your bedroom, bursting freestyles in the shower isn’t because you ain’t good enough, it’s usually because you fashioned your style to sound like someone else.
What I’m saying basically is major artists, especially the contemporary ones came with a new style, a new rhythm.
Last year witnessed a new sound by Mr Eazi, if we look further back there is Tekno, Kiss Daniel, Patoranking.
You can make one hit by sounding like Wizkid or anyone else but that’s just it! If you Intend to stay in the game for long, creative originality is needed.
Tekno had to get his style down, Yemi Alade switched to a new style, even Skales after years of trying to sound like Wizkid had to finally tweak his sound to what he has today.
To all up and comings seeking stardom and known acts wanting sustainability, a new style never goes wrong. You can ask Johnny Drille or Chance The Rapper.
Switch up your style now, you never can tell… It can become the new wave
