Expelled UI Student Charges University Authority To Court, Slams N10m Damages Suit

Mr. Olatinwo Phillip, an expelled student activist of the University of Ibadan has finalized his legal action against the university management.

Mr. Olatinwo Phillip finalized all ongoing Legal Consultation and proceeded to the Federal High Court, Ibadan to officially initiate a legal process to demand for his reinstatement as a Student of the University of Ibadan.

Earlier last year, on the basis of the findings of the aftermath of the Zik-Idia Fracas, Mr Olatinwo Phillip was expelled from the University, however, Mr Olatinwo Phillip maintained his innocence and wrote to the Governing Council, which still upheld the verdict.

Having exhausted all legally available machineries to resolve internal issues within the University of Ibadan, Mr. Olatinwo Phillip has decided to challenge his Expulsion in Court.

The University of Ibadan is expected to be served the Court Papers within the next 48hrs.

This impending legal battle gives hope to the thousands of Victimized students across all Nigerian Campuses.
