JUST IN: ASUU Suspends Strike, Directs Lecturers To Resume Immediately

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has called off the strike action that started a month ago. The union President, Prof Biodun Ogunyemi, made this known in Abuja on Monday evening after a meeting with the government delegation.

According to the union, the strike will only be suspended till the end of October to give room for the government to fulfill its pledges.

Following the suspension of the strike action, university lecturers are directed to resume duty from tomorrow, Tuesday.
