The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC has announced the suspension of the ongoing nationwide strike on Sunday, September 30. 2018 following promises by the Federal Government to reconvene the tripartite committee on national minimum wage on October 4.
The suspension was known by the NLC President, Ayuba Wabba at Abuja this afternoon stating that the labour action was suspended to enable the tripartite committee to hold its crucial meeting and conclude its work.
The strike which commenced on Thursday has been called off with immediate effect and workers are resume work as usual.
