Award-winning Nollywood director and actor Kunle Afolayan has chosen to address the issue of sexual harassment in his upcoming movie titled Citation.

Citation will be Afolayan’s seventh feature film and will be set in contemporary university campuses.

Afolayan said the BBC talking about the subject now was not a coincidence as he had been working on the project for almost two years.

I don’t think it is a coincidence that the BBC News, is just talking about a subject matter we have been working on as a film project for almost two years. It’s a University drama surrounding a female postgraduate student who has to find a way of dealing with the awkward situation of sexual harassment from a popular male lecturer.Kunle Afolayan – pulse.ng

The filmmaker revealed that Citation will be shot in Nigeria, Senegal, and Cape Verde. It is written by Tunde Babalola, with Afolayan as director and producer.
