Acting President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has made it clear in a statement that nobody has the power to remove Ibrahim Magu as the chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Osinbajo insists that as long as he remains the acting president, no one would unseat Magu as EFCC chairman.
The message came through Governor Nasir El-Rufai at the commissioning of the Zonal office of the EFCC in Kaduna on Thursday.
We have confidence in Magu to fight corruption to a standstill. He will remain the EFCC chairman as long as I remain the acting president and as well as Muhammadu Buhari remains the president, he said.
It is our belief that Magu will continue to remain a nightmare for corrupt people for years to come..
