The biopic is about Skales and his pursuit to make a name for himself in the music industry. The 7 minutes, 35 seconds length video was shot back when the ‘Shake body’ crooner was still signed to Banky W’s record label, Empire Mates Entertainment (EME).
Directed by Chioma Onyenwe, the flick employs the use of flashbacks to show the man before the fame and the challenges he had to overcome.
The project features a clip of Skales at a young age and footage from some of his live performances. Valentino Bendelo plays the role of the rapper’s father, South African model Noni Zondi plays herself. It also offers a cameo appearance from Banky W.
Skales who is now signed to Baseline Records recently released a new song and music video with his former label mate Banky W titled ‘Nobody’s business’.
