‘Kunle Osibogun, a renowned legal practitioner and aspirant for House of Representative Ijebu Central Federal Constituency in the 2019 elections stood the whole Ijebu Ode still on Friday, January 11 at the Social Democratic Party (SDP) Rally.
Thousands of supporters rallied around Ijebu-ode and environs with Osibogun on Friday before they finally stationed at Oyingbo.
Party leaders, stakeholders and dignitaries in Ijebu-ode stepped out to show their support for Osibogun as he declared his mission for his constituency.
On Constitutional Reforms Commitment, Osibogun promises to support and propose legislation that provide concurrent powers between the States and the Federation on census, biometrics and criminal records, labour, mines and minerals, police and security matters, communication, prisons, quarantine, international trade and commerce, and companies income tax.
He also promises to support and propose legislation that guarantees the independence, security of tenure and accountability of the Auditor-General of the Federation.
Osibogun makes it clear that we will make provision for the merger and creation of new states; removal of the mandatory age requirements and political party sponsorship for elective positions and empower the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission to determine the salary.
On Community Development Commitment, Kunle Osibogun promises to focus on empowerment of citizens within the Ijebu Central Federal Constituency through initiatives and aid programs focused on Entrepreneurship, Agriculture, health outreaches and Education.
According to the legal practitioner, he is aware of the right support structure for the people within the area he is representing and he’s of a strong believe that the North-East Local Government Area can be an agricultural hub of Ogun state while Odogbolu Local Government can be a manufacturing base of Ogun state, and Ijebu-Ode, a commercial capital of Ogun state.
